Lost in the city - a tragic fiction about earthquake

Just another typical day for me—repeating the same routine every day. Home to work, work to home, nothing ever changes. This is my life now living abroad as a site engineer. After spending a few minutes lost in thought while lying in bed, I hurriedly got up and made myself ready for work. I didn’t even have time to check my phone—I was already running late.

While I was walking, I saw a crowd of people in tears. Among them was my girlfriend, Mika, kneeling in front of the collapsed building, clutching my photo tightly in her arms.
